Open Space has been used in more than 130 countries around the world, in the private, public and non-governmental sectors, to harness peoples’ passions to deal with complex and even controversial issues. Open Space is an effective, dynamic strategy for organizing meetings of between 5 and 2000 people. The key to Open Space’s effectiveness is the structure it provides groups to self-organize, communicate authentically, work from their passion, and tackle highly complex issues and topics in a relatively short period of time. Open Space works best where the people involved are diverse, when other facilitation methods have failed to deal with the issues at hand, and when it seems that no one has the answer to the question, but that answer was needed yesterday. We can also help you plan and carry out your learning events, using the Dialogue Education approach to adult learning. Dialogue Education puts the knowledge, experience and learning needs of the participants at the centre of the event. Through a Learning Needs and Resources Assessment, we would work with the client to develop a training event that would honour different learning styles of the participants, and tailor the format to engage them in the learning, rather than delivering a pre-designed course that may or may not meet their individual and group learning requirements. Moreover, rather than learners having to prove their mastery of the subject to the instructor, the instructor becomes accountable to the participants in the fulfillment of Achievement-Based Objectives. Dialogue Education is flexible by design, and has been used in over 60 countries by thousands of people. Please contact Margot to discuss the facilitation services and methods that would be right for you and your organization. |
